    Commerce Tournament this weekend

There is a 300k guar. 225 buyin tournament this weekend at commerce casino.
I'm pretty sure i'm going to play but wanted some opinions from you guys.
4k starting stack with 30 min levels. Start at 25/50....50/100....75/150...
You think I should take a shot? I only play online through this site but I play
alot of tourneys live and do pretty well. Anyways I appreciate any input.

ahhh, if you do good live and you have the money then play it. 4k starting stack is a little low for a live tourney but the 30 min levels should be alright. its not a lottory tourney but you wont be able to sit and wait for aces lol good luck. my advise is to play it if your confident enough that you are capable of taking it down

Yeah I was alittle worried about the structure. It's just good enough for it to be worth it. I'll have no edge whatsoever if any if the structure is too fast. I won't have enough room to make plays at pots. I play tight aggresive but not too tight. I can play random hands sometimes and I have good awareness of when to take shots at pots. I play position alot as well. I know there are good players at commerce so I prob play pretty snug until I get a feel for my table. 4k starting is kinda low i agree. At least 30 min levels and blinds don't bounce up too big. 25/50....50/100....75/150.....gives me a couple of hours to pick good spots before starting stack becomes all in or fold stack.

First off a So Cal thread ... nice ... with that out of the way...

Sure go ahead if you got the money and the time. That's gonna be a medium long tourney, probably around 6 to 7 hours just to get ITM (maybe more if the turnout is huge).

It's a 2 day tournament. 4 starting days that play down to 3% of the field for that day. Time and money not a problem. 300k guar with 225 buyin means at least 1333+ players. It will be a grind for sure. Payout structure not available yet. I'd like to see what it will look like. You will prob still cash even if you don't make it to day 2 but im not sure. Depends on payout structure.

Thanks Guys. I appreciate all the input. I will be playing this saturday and hopefully make it to day 2 which will be played on sunday. I will try to post an update after saturday if I don't get KO'ed. Anyone have any strategys for this type of tourney and structure? I enjoy getting feedback and talking about poker with other players. I feel like it improves my game. Thanks.
