While I don't believe poker is rigged, I do believe 100% that the blackjack is rigged. The blackjack on Merge is nowhere near real.

Nice post, unfortunately there are always going to be the rigged conspirists no matter what. What I do find amusing though is those that think it is rigged but keep playing.

First, any player must understand that there are
inherent flaws in the RNG, chiefly, that it is a computer program and that, in and of itself, reveals that it is not infallible. Further, by understanding that a computer lacks the ability to actually create a truly random deal is the first step in becoming a winning player.

Secondly, any player choosing to play online poker must set themselves apart from the normalized and standard poker strategy used by the overwhelming majority of players. The reasoning behind departing from basic strategy, is that the poker algorithms used by poker sites do NOT adhere to those basic strategies, nor the statistically normalized outcomes.

Randomness by definition, is the absence of order or patterns. The fact is that even though sites such as Full Tilt cerifies their RNG as truly random, it is scientifically impossible to have a computer program randomly do anything! Unless of course the online poker sites have created artificial intelligence.

Random dealing and shuffling of a deck of cards can ONLY be achieved by physically picking up a deck, shuffling it, and dealing out the cards. Any other method causes a DETERMINISTIC outcome, which means that the outcome CAN be determined by some method, such as a poker crack or mathematical formula.

I'm not saying poker sites are rigged. But its always good to hear both sides and this has some compelling evidence to suggest pokersites control the outcome.

I agree, I really do not believe that poker sites are rigged, they make plenty of money without doing that.

I have always said you are playing the player not the cards, if the player is a newbie, drunkerd or just plain old suckish of course they are going to suck out on you. It just happens, no reason to say a site is rigged because of it.

    What does "rigged" mean?

Do players collude at tables and get away with it? Yes, at every poker site this happens, especially since skilled colluders can make a hefty profit before they are caught.
Have players been able to see hole cards? Yes, that we know of at Absolute Poker, Ultimate Bet and Pitbull poker, super-user accounts were able to see hole cards and pass the info onto actual players in the games.
Are some sites mere Ponzi Schemes that pay off old investors with new investors cash? Yes, Full Tilt anyone?
Are some sites set up just to take deposits and make it difficult if not impossible to withdraw until they finally shut down and do it again with a different name? Yes, look at almost all the smaller sites offer 200%+ deposit bonuses and you will find these operations.

So yeah, I agree that the stacked decks and set up coolers are probably not happening. Why would they be when the sites can rig it so much more easily in the ways I mentioned above?
