    Another room closes

    Dear PokerCustomers and Affiliates,

It is with great regret that weannounce the closure of World Poker Exchange.

As of 1pm ET onWednesday 15th February 2012, our poker software will no longer beavailable, and any active poker room balance you may have will betransferred to your World Sports Exchange account. Rake will be paid out asnormal on the following Monday.

We deeply apologize for theinconvenience caused. Our attention is now focused on improving our sportsbetting and casino products

although it wasnt well known its just another nail in the coffin for online poker
seems its gettin tougher to play everyday
at least i get to go gamble it away in the sportsbook section

It's up in the air on it being the Department of Homeland Security pressure or they had processor shutdown issues that made them insolvent. I'm sure more information will be coming out soon.

Instead of the market really going up since(black) friday, i think just the opposite has happened. I talked to a couple of friends yesterday and they didnt even know some site were operating. they only played on the big 3/4. Except for us hardcorers i think alot of players quit playing altogether and these small site just wanst making the revenue they were expecting. but i dunno just a thought

Thats not true, theres at least a half dozen other networks that usa players can play on besides those two,and Merge's days are numbered since they continue to process credit cards through US banks under the guise of a charge other than gambling.
