Play your opponents, not just the cards

This isn't anywhere close to the same situation!! First your blinds are much higher which changes the dynamics. Plus you just put in a raise to take the pot instead of a 4bet. But the biggest difference is how many outs you were had and the strength of the hand you were drawing to. You had an open ended straight draw that has outs for someone to beat you with a higher straight. Jay's hand had a straight/flush/straight flush draw. That leaves him waaaaaaaay more outs including a nut draw.
