Tomorrow is the $140 Knockout Tournament at my local casino

So i woke up this morning a lil later then i planned and didnt get in the shower until 9am...tourney starts at 10am btw...i wasnt bought it yet or anything and im like shit i gotta hurry and get there..so i take a shower..rush down there in the car and i already called down there at this point and they said theres like 150 regd and there capping it at 200 people..so i dont think im really going to miss it..unless im late..there really strict about like if ur late u cant buy in n shit..so trying to get there on time, park my car and start running threw the casino to the poker area while security guards are yelling "dont run" at me n shit LOL i get there and i go " am i late " and they said na ur fine and i asked if im going to be an alternate and they said no u just made it, im like whew..told them about running threw the casino n shit to get there and the guy goes "ya u only had like 1 min. left" and im like holy shit cuz theyre really strict about not letting ppl buy in late n shit..so i bought in and life was good..im in the tourney..i go back to my car and get my shit and get ready..i come to the table and looks like a friendly bunch..no one i regularly play with at that casino, so im going to have to feel everyone out..couple kids my age..and couple older people..and some women...so mix variety table..we start with 10k and for another $5 we get another 1k, so i did that started with 11k, and blinds were 25/50.

So im playing solid..like wayy more solid then i usually do, im usually mixing it up a lot more early on just to feel out the table and try to establish a loose image. I decided to change it up today and went for a tight image and boy did i have a tight image. Not like stupid tight but im not making stupid bets out of position with bs hands..im playing position and waiting for decent starting hands especially being so deep, i decided to take advantage of the structure..and wait for great hands because people will pay me off pretty light at this table and their not folding much..So im chipping up prety nicely..im up to like 15k at the first break from the 11k we started with..and no big hands at all..after the first break..this one asian guy he messed up before break, and ment to call this guys bet of like 2200 or w/e and threw in a 5k chip with it on accident..thsi casino that shits gotta stay LOL especially since he like didnt say call before he released it or w.e..and the other guy calls with 2 pair and fcked that guy..it was like the 5th hand or something to..brutal..so knowing that..after break i pick up AK clubs..standard raise..this guy 3 bets me i 4 bet he shoves i call..i show my AK clubs and he shows QQ...so im in the hand for like 7k and i would be down to like 9k if i lost this hand..and flop came with a King in the door..dealer knows me..they all pretty much do and he was like doin it slow and he looked first saw the door card..lol he had a good poker face i didnt know if i hit or not yet til i saw it LOL so that held up and i was sitting on around 25k..life is good :) I get my first bounty ..so im sitting on like 25k and got a $25 bounty..so stuff is going pretty good..(also the guy that i took out, i had AA earlier raised it up he called flop was A34 i bet he calls..turn 5..i bet he calls..and flop had 2 dia's and turn brought second heart..and river was a 6..so the board is A3456..no flush got there but i have AAA :laugh: so..he bets 1k and i built the pot up to like 10k at this point and im like "o mann really?" i say i call and he had nothing..so that was nice) So im on 25k and a bounty after taking the guy out with the AK..i get 73 hearts in the big blind for 600..this guy min raises to 1200..other guy calls and im like f it i got alot of chips i can hit somethin funky..so i put it 600 more..flop is 7 3 2 with two spades..so great flop..i have top two..ima see if i can win a nice pot here..so first to act checks..i check to trap..cuz this kid is like 95% C-betting..and sure enough he does like 1400 or w/e some funky number and i put it like all my 1k chips = like 17k or something and he puts in his couple more 1ks chips and 5k chip...i turn over my two pair and he shows AA..so im in the lead..just HOLDEM!..turn came 9 of spade so he needs the board to pair..an ace or a spade as of the turn..and river came king of spade..pretty brutal...brought me from my 15k to like 13k..so around starting stack..so that sucked..cuz i coulda been way past 30k and have two bounties..but its ok im in a good mind set even after the bad beat and im thinking..back to the drawing board..or grinding board.. :p so..blinds are 400/800 i make it 3500 after one limper and the big stack at the table made it 15k right when it got to him..folded around to me i have around 9500 left..im like ugh..i felt like he had it..i really did..usually when someone has the chip lead they use it and widen their hand range..not this guy..he appeared to be one of those guys that got a bunch of chips and thought to himself" im not going to donk these off"..so he was playing very tight and knowing all this i really thought he had AA or KK..so i i neeeever do this in that kinda spot but i laid my AK down and i go will u show?a nd he goes..i never do this..and shows my the Q of hearts so he had QQ..no way hes doing that with AQ..so it was a flip but w/e..so left me with like 9500 blinds are 500/1k and this lady like did the weirdest play..she just moved to the table..raised with 66 and flop came A 3 5 and she open shoved with 66 and everyone folded and she showed?? LOL sooo its safe to assume imo that shes not that knowledgeable about poker n stuff..so a couple hands later..she made it 3k..this lady to my right calls..and i thought shit..shes gotta have a good hand the lady to my right..ive been talking with her all day and shes really tight..idk what shes got but shes got some kinda hand..so i have 66 and i call the extra 2k basically trying to hit my set..leaving me with around like 9k or so..and flop comes 353 with two hearts..so im thinking..weeeeell thats a pretty good flop cuz the lady that was the original raiser..was the lady that did that weird line with 66 and showing n stuff..so i knew she didnt have a pair..i was just concerned about the lady on my right..so im thinking fck dude u cant blinds off n stuff i got like 9 BB's...and this is a pretty good spot to chip up i was thinking so i shoved..the lady that originally raised..thought for a while and folded and the lady to my right..thought for a while..looked at her cards..made like a gesture like almost folded em and and then went to her chips and put em in and im like " ugh i didnt want u to call " so i showed her my 66's and she like looked at my cards and looked at the board and looked at my cards and like paused with her cards still face down..so im like..eh..i might have the best hand..cuz by me showing my hand like that n shit..its like universal that means like "thsi is what i have..what do u have" ya know..and she knows that for sure..so she shows JJ after that pause..and im thinkin..fckkkkkkkkkkkk..but i just knocked the tablea nd said nice hand..but im thinking fckkkkkkkkkkk so turn comes a J and im drawing dead..sigh..i played pretty good imo but ran into a couple tough spots and..ya..idk played good though and was reeally fun..got a bounty so only cost $115+carls Jr..which might i add..reminded me why i havent eaten there n for ever..but i was kinda forced to..the "complimentary lunch" they had for us was like a sandwich bun with like the smallest piece of roast beef or w/e the fck that was with like mustard and relish and like coleslaw on the side..nothign i liked.. im like fckkk, so i told this guy i go "hey u want this? i didnt even touch it" and he goes sure..LOL so i was off to carls jr after that during lunch break..so ya was fun i played pretty good imo..just ran into a couple tough spots and ya..i just wish they had more tourneys like this..closer together..ive been waitin like3 months or something for this tourney..so quite a while..so ya..was fun tho..first was $4500 and top 16 paid..like 162 were in payout is pretty bad mincash is like $282 and first is $4500 and 2nd is $2250 LOL and shit so payout is pretty weird..it was a $140 buy in and a bounty tourney so idk..was fun tho and cant wait for the next one :):)
