Squid300's guide to making money longterm

    1. figure out what you are good at, and stick with it. Whether it be cash, sng, or mtts.

    2. stick within your bankroll

    3. make reads, what you have means very little, what is important is being able to tell what your opponents have.

    4. don't shove just for the sake of shoving.

    5. don't limp, it will create bad spots for you when you have no clue where you are at. If you're going to enter a pot, Raise.

    6. trust the reads that you make. Your opponents tell a story with their bets. Learn to comprehend the story. If their story doesn't make sense. There's a reason for it.

    7. don't re-enter. Re-entries are made for the sites to make more $. That is all. The sites that need them, have them. The sites that don't. Don't.

    8. Don't late enter a tournament if you're going to have less than 25bbs. You're just asking someone to kick you in the balls and take your money.

    9. play within your bankroll. Playing outside of it will cause you to go broke a good percentage of the time. Yes it can be boring at times. But its better than going broke.

I have no problem giving advice to anyone. Ive done just about everything there is to do in online poker. Live is a different story. But i haven't played much live.

If anyone needs any help you can ask me here or on skype. good luck to you all.

#3 is awful advice for limit players. It is also poor advice for NL players in any form. While hand reading is a core skill, you'll never know what they actually have. Thus, your hand is critical as its compared against their range of hands. Additionally, your hand has structural advantages or disagvantes that will show massive differences in profitability in the long run

#5 is terrible advice for NL players. Situationally, it is more correct for limit players, partially correct for short stack NL specialists, but it makes absolutely no sense for NL overall. limping is a key tool for mid and deep stack NL play for a variety of reasons

I think your advice is coming from a good place but I agree, there are some holes in some of these rules. You cannot just apply one set of rules for all the dynamics which take place in online poker. You have to have the ability to adapt and become a chameleon....
