    CHEATING AT MY home game

How can i prove somebody is dealing seconds. I really think that one player is and dont know if he has more than one other person involved. These players are secondary to the original crew we play with. A friend of a friend thing. Will using a cut card help ???

The better question to ask is what kind of friend would cheat or bring a friend that would cheat? I would confront him and that would eliminate him or the problem. A cut card would not help in the situation.

Agreed, I have never played poker in person yet since I am new to the game but I just got a poker table and awesome poker set from my girlfriend for Christmas and I could not imagine anyone cheating... If I thought someone was cheating I would definitely confront them about it.

Why not just have the one person as dealer(yourself)???.
That way you could ensure no underhand dealing

Simple.. Attempt to catch them just keep an eye but don't make it obvious that you have any concerns..When you catch em boot em out and they will understand what they did wrong..Good luck with all that it is your home game from the title, so its your rules, if you don't catch them they will just continue doing it..120

It there is something deceptive going on the best approach is to confront the suspected person or persons away from the game either before it starts or after the game, the direct approach is always the best and pulling the person or persons aside keeps their respect in order in most cases and it also lets him, her, or them know that you are observing and not accusing so if lied to it should be easy to tell and even better if the truth comes out even better and if it was nothing at all all respect continues and then after that it is left up to fate. That $500.00 dollars for the session but sense you are a member here the first one is free !!!

That's horrible. Yes, a cut card is a good way to help stop dealing cards from the bottom of the deck. Another thing to do, is always count the cards before you start the game, and periodically throughout the game. You should count the cards face up so everyone can see, out loud and into piles of ten, so all other players can visually verify.

I hosted a home game for 5 years. We only had a cheating problem one time. There were 2 ace of spades in one hand. We were a very tight group of friends, except for the guy who had the ace of spades in his hand, when one came on the flop. It was pretty obvious, we confronted the guy and he acted very guilty. Needless to say, that never happened again.

I would suggest you keep a home game to people you can trust, and if a friend wants to bring a friend, everyone should keep an eye on the new guy until he's known to be trustworthy.

where theres a will, theres a way. any time there is money involved there is a chance that some one will try to cheat, thats why there are so many cameras in a casino.
