Card Player Lists Top 5 Cities to play Professional Poker (LV is not Number 1 or 2)

The article is in two parts. Part 1 discusses the areas that just missed the list, Part 2 lists the Top 5 cites. For a long time I have recommended to people who have asked, that Los Angeles is the best place to play poker professionally. It helps that Las Vegas is a short drive/flight away.

Well, you learn something new every day. I never would have thought to put Baltimore on that list, although the other 4 are no-brainers I think. I'll have to start trying to divert my business trips to DC/Baltimore.
I'm not slurring my words. I'm talking in cursive. I believe the ladies find it to be quite elegant.

im From NJ and Atlantic City was my starting base for the first few years... this list might actually be correct and ill tell you from my own personal experiance... I was just in Vegas for a month and then i shot down to Miami this past month... however i havent been to LA or Baltimore so i cant speak for those, I have been to Penn, Conn as well... heres the deal.

Atlantic City is on the Decline because of surrounding states having Casinos like Dover Deleware, Maryland, New York, Pennslyvania has Harrahs, Parx and Sands. Conneticut isnt that far off eaither a few hour drive... I can Say that Atlantic City does provide the best tournaments to make a living off playing weekly from $2500, $3500 $5000 and $15,000 guarentees as well as the Borgata Poker Open events which are quickly and easily the biggest tournament spot in the US aside from the WSOP in Vegas yearly. the WPT championship moved from Bellagio Vegas to Borgata NJ this April because Borgata is Easily one of the best and booming poker Rooms in the United States...
My experiance in Vegas was more of a Vacataion so to speak and Mirage being the only Casino offering a Deepstack tournament starting with 50,000 in chips and was $120 buy in w around 80 entries. every other tournament in Vegas was super short stacked like 4000-8000 in chips for dumb tourists who are terrible... The WSOP is once a year and alot of pros are moving out of Vegas and only going there for those events yearly...Its dying out as a Gambling desitination and turning into a Vacation spot to see the sights and IF you want to gamble cool...
Miami or south Florida is pretty good with Seminole Hardrock really stepping up in the Tournament scene and offering people a chance to really make a living at Poker as well as palm beach kennel club, Bestbet jacksonville etc as well as Mardigras and the Jalalai poker rooms spread out in florida...

If your a cash game player, well you can probebly play anywhere at that point, if your higher stakes cash then its like LA, Borgata, Aria Bellagio, Wynn, and Bestbet Jacksonville, aside from private games... Vegas was not what i thought it would be, however i experianced it and checked it off my list... i prefer Atlantic City becasue the beach is there also in the Spring/Summer, and Miami not so bad. im lucky i have family in both spots. I also feel the WSOP is only to bring new players into poker cause its on TV. the WPT is the real tournaments for Prof players, legit... sorry so long, i just happend to make that Traingle and felt i could speak up on this magazine cover...
