Some say this never happens to them, some say look at your own play. It does happen. I read em right, no 10, and I had too much invested to fold the river because this player could of done the same thing if his 7s didn't improve.

    More to come

P.S. this is NOT a claim anything is rigged , it's a claim that shit happens.

his play postflop isn't bad and you should prob not bet turn cause ur 8s have SD value and u betting the turn is bloating the pot which is bad unless you're bluffing or you have a stronger hand.

Seriously? I hope you're not saying this with a straight face! Leaving the stupid play preflop behind, he calls 10 BB post flop with middle pair and crap kicker and no draw. Then calls all-in on turn with just that crap pair and a GUT SHOT!
I guess we know who to watch out for on the felts ... and I'm not talking about the villain in the original post
I'm not slurring my words. I'm talking in cursive. I believe the ladies find it to be quite elegant.

Maybe he placed you on unpaired paint? You definitely repped something higher I guess though. I don't really know what else to say besides that he just lucked out or knew the outcome of the draw.
Focusing on being the hero, I probably would have dialed down the bet sizing a bit seeing that you're at 20/40 which is still early in the tournament. Maybe figure out how to size your bets so that you can either avoid the fact that you invested too much to bother folding with not the strongest possible hand and to make it so that you being all-in is actually a significant portion of chips vs. the pot since an all-in for you on the river was like a quarter of the pot, not a terribly significant proportion.

Just an observation from a guy who only dabbled a bit in poker so far though, so feel free to read over my analysis and disagree and/or critique it...

I've seen terrible bad beats in home games and at casinos. they just happen. This guy clearly decided 75off was the hand he was going all the way with even with a terrible flop and got lucky. Tournaments can hurt more when you've put so much time into something that is relatively short duration (in terms of variance). Luck is a big factor in winning tournaments - ask any pro. It takes luck to suck out like that - but it takes the same amount for AK to win 6x in a row.
