What is this?
Pin the tail on the donkey is basically everyone trying to outlast and knock out 1 specific player. There are 2 sets of prize pools for this promotion on every tournament.
Sounds like fun, how do I become the Donkey?
Before the tournament starts, you have to bid on becoming the donkey. You can see how much you bid compared to everyone else. The highest bidder for that tournament becomes the donkey. Everyone is trying to KO you before you reach the top 3.
2 Prize Pools can you explain?
Prize Pool #1 (For everyone EXCEPT the Donkey):
We seed every tournament with a 100 point prize pool. We also add the points the DONKEY bids to the prize pool.
To win any points, you MUST OUTLAST the Donkey.
Example: 100 points seed + 150 points the donkey bid = 250 points for Prize Pool #1. Donkey takes 11th place. The top 10 players would split 250 points for 25 points each.
Prize Pool #2 (For the Donkey ONLY)
We take the progressive prize pools that were formerly used for Kill The Sneaks and apply it to this promotion. The prize pool could get quite high, so bidding for who has the right to become the donkey could get crazy.
You have to bid on the rights to become the donkey in an auction style format.
If you take the top 3 in the tournament you win the following:
1st Place: 70% of the prize pool
2nd Place: 20% of the prize pool
3rd Place: 10% of the prize pool
I changed my mind, I want to cancel my bid, can I do that?
Sadly no, we need those other bids in case someone doesn't actually play in the tournament we will go to the second place bid and so on.
I bid to become the donkey but I didn't win, when do I get my points back?
After the system verifies you are not the donkey, so sometime after the tournament starts.
